Fertility Monitors and Gender Selection

Many of our customers would be thrilled to have a baby and wouldn’t care whether it’s a boy or a girl. Some people have a strong preference, however, and it turns out that an OvaCue Fertility Monitor may be just the thing to help them optimize their chances of success.

According to research by Dr. Landrum B. Shettles, you can increase your odds of having a baby of a particular sex by precisely timing intercourse with respect to ovulation.

Basically, the sperm that creates a male swims faster than that which produces a female. Therefore, to have a female, intercourse should occur 2-3 days prior to ovulation, as the male producing sperm will arrive first, find no egg and die off. To increase chances for a boy, intercourse should be planned for the day before ovulation.

For gender selection, you need to know well ahead of time when ovulation will occur. Zetek fertility monitors give the most advance notice of ovulation of any method. This makes them a natural complement to the Shettles method. Using them together, you may increase your chances of having either a boy or girl.

It was a pleasant surprise to find I was pregnant on the very first month that I used the OvaCue. I feel very strongly about this product and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to start a family. I know if it wasn't for the OvaCue, I would still be trying to get pregnant.
